Dr. Matthew Colman is an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. He is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery and musculoskeletal oncology. He completed his undergraduate studies cum laude at Dartmouth College and earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Colman further honed his skills through an orthopedic surgery residency at the world-renowned University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. To deepen his expertise, Dr. Colman completed fellowships in both pediatric and adult musculoskeletal oncology at Harvard University, as well as orthopedic and neurosurgical spine surgery at the University of Utah. Dr. Colman specializes in complex spine surgery involving oncology, revision surgery, and deformity, but treats a complete array of spinal pathologies using both traditional and minimally invasive techniques. He enjoys clinical and translational research, as well as the training and mentorship of his students, residents, and fellows.
