My name is Karim Fahmy, DO, MS, and I am a pain management physician at Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach, CA.
I completed my Pain Management Fellowship training at the University of California, Los Angeles/West LA VA. I completed my Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency training at the University of California, Irvine, where I was elected Chief Resident by the department. I received my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, along with my Master of Science degree. I attended college at the University of California, Irvine for my Bachelor of Science degree.
I have experience with ultrasound and fluoroscopic guided injections for minimally invasive and advanced procedures. I specialize in treating painful conditions that affect the spine/back, neck, hips, knees, ankles/feet, shoulders, elbows, hands/wrist, and abdomen & pelvis. In addition, my background in PM&R is unique in that I can treat patients with a history of stroke, TBI, SCI, spasticity, or CRPS.
