Max J. Kerensky is a Ph.D. candidate in biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University developing ultrasound-based neurotechnologies for clinical translation. His work includes the creation of the first direct method for evaluating a rare neurological condition and is currently focused on driving the execution of an implantable ultrasound sensor that has received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation. He is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and a member of the National Biomedical Engineering Honor Society, and previously served as a graduate intern at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
