Luis Vargas is a second-year medical student at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. His research interests include spine oncology, functional neurosurgery, and the use of connectomics to enhance postoperative cognitive outcomes in patients with brain tumors. He has collaborated on spine oncology research with Dr. Andrew Fabiano, worked on functional neurosurgery with Dr. Assaf Berger, and connectomics-focused neuro-oncology with Dr. Randy D’Amico.
