Rahim was born and raised in Salamiyeh, Syria, and is currently the Cranial Clinical and Translational Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Louisville. He leads and supports a diverse portfolio of projects and clinical trials funded by the university, private organizations, and the NIH.
He began his postdoctoral journey in the United States at the Medical University of South Carolina under the mentorship of Dr. Alex Spiotta. Rahim earned his medical degree from Damascus University—Faculty of Medicine, where practicing amidst the Syrian conflict forged a resilient and insightful approach to medicine. He is currently looking to match into Neurosurgery in the U.S. to pursue his goal of becoming a neurosurgeon-scientist.
