Ricky Ditzel Jr. is a third-year medical student at Rush Medical College with a clinical interest in spine surgery and neurotrauma. He previously served as a Special Operations flight medic, where he developed a strong foundation in trauma care and leadership in high-acuity environments. He is the founder of Special Operations Forces to School of Medicine (SOFtoSOM) and a Pat Tillman Scholar, and he plans to pursue a career in academic neurosurgery with a focus on spine surgery, trauma systems, and leadership-driven innovation in patient care.
