Molly Ann Szpakowski, B.A., is a second-year medical student at the Thomas F. Frist, Jr. College of Medicine with a focused interest in orthopaedic surgery. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Boston University. Prior to medical school, she worked as a medical assistant in an orthopaedic surgery practice, where she developed an early passion for spine care and surgical outcomes. She is currently involved in research examining preoperative risk factors and surgical site infections in elective spine surgery, with an emphasis on improving patient-centered outcomes through innovation and quality improvement.
