He continued his training in Spine by completeing a combined Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Spine Fellowship at the University of Utah. He then joined a Musculosketetal group in the midwest with 5 Neurosurgeons and 18 Orthopedic Surgeons. For the first 15 years of his career he performed complex scoliosis reconstrustion, PSO, VCRs and managed complex failures in the spine. After seeing an Endoscopic thoracic discectomy presentated at NASS in 2017, he was converted. Now his practice is primarily scope based. Most weeks all his cases are outpatient. Yes - he misses a good PSO, but not so much that he wants to go back to rounding:).
